Yesterday, 75 students left Myrtle Beach, left the hotel rooms they called home for 2 months, left jobs at Build-a-Bear McDonalds Walmart to name a few, said goodbye to new friends, and left an intense season of spiritual growth. The Leadership Project (LP), Campus Outreach's 2 month long summer training camp ended. Here students work 40 hour/week jobs while gaining the tools to grow in their personal relationship with Christ: Bible study training, prayer training, evangelism training, discipleship, accountability, community and everything God was doing in and through these students this summer. Take a look at the 2010 LP video to get a better feel for this major event this Campus Outreach puts on: video.Andre (my housemate) and are officially in our new house at 233 California Ave thanks to U-haul and a few willing friends! We really like it- it has plenty of space for having students over for dinners, games, movies, etc. If you are every driving by, feel free to come knock on the door! And bring over an old glass coke bottle with pop top, because the house came with a Coca-cola bottle opener installed in the kitchen- at no extra cost!
And support: so maybe you're wondering where I am? I bet you don't wonder as much as I do :) Well I am thrilled to say that I am at 74.8%- I like to say 75%!!! Pray with me, asking God that I would be at 100% by August 15th. Thank you so much for your decision to be a part of my support and/or prayer team. Thank you for your prayers as God continues to prove faithful to provide for me. Specifically pray that I would walk by faith and not by sight- trusting God and spending time with him during this season- not just trying staying busy with the work of support raising.
